See two shows in the same building

Two Galleries open separate summer shows in the same building Friday, so you can hit both without having to re-park your car.
5art presents a group exhibit of diverse works by these local artists: Alex Costantino, Brian Goe, Lauren Alyssa Howard, Vincent Kral, Wes Kline, Sonya McAllister, Justin Nelson, James Reiman, Rebecca Skelton and Christopher Weeks.
At the same time, three04 gallery presents "Clenched Tight in the Maw of the Great Ancient Ennui: New Works by Allen Hampton." The new works include a variety of two- and three-dimensional art from traditional to the not-so-traditional in oil paintings, drawings, sculpture, video and one installation piece.
Both exhibits continue through July 10 with gallery hours only by appointment after the opening reception from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday . It is free, but donations are welcome.

Students show their talents
Hillsborough Community College's Ybor Campus Art Gallery presents an exhibit of exceptional middle school art work today through June 25.
Students in sixth, seventh and eighth grade art classes at the Academy Prep Center of Tampa will display more than 30 original pieces of art in the form of drawings, paintings, photographs, portraiture, masks and ceramics.
Meet the students and see their accomplishments at a free opening reception from 2:30 to 4 p.m. today at the Ybor Art Gallery, located in the Visual and Performing Arts building at 15{+t}{+h} Street and Palm Avenue in Ybor City. If you miss the opening, you can see the art from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
