TAMPA - The Fairgrounds continues to be a busy place for events after the Florida State Fair concludes. The Bob Thomas Equestrian Center continues to be one of the busiest eventing centers in central Florida. Come down and enjoy a bevy of entertainment taking place on the Fairgrounds property adjacent to I-4 and U.S. Highway 301 in eastern Hillsborough County.
March 18-22: Suncoast Internationale
Presented by Stadium Jumping, this event commences a three-week long Winter Equestrian Festival held at the Bob Thomas Equestrian Center. Hunter and jumper horse competitions for adult amateur and junior participants will take place throughout five days. Admission and parking is free. March 21: Concert - WiLD Splash '09
The WiLD Splash music festival is the annual event of the hip hop radio station Wild 98.7 FM. Artists scheduled to perform at the Ford Amphitheatre include Busta Rhymes, Soulja Boy, Sean Kingston, Slim Thug, Movado and Serani. Gate is scheduled to open at 4 p.m.; concert begins at 5 p.m. Ticket prices are $40 for PIT section (general admission) and $46, $36, $24 and $14 for reserved seating. The lawn is closed for this event. Prices include sales tax and parking; all tickets are subject to applicable taxes, service and handling charges. Visitors should enter the Fairgrounds via U.S. Hwy. 301 or the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard entrance. Only guests with VIP parking should enter through Orient Road. March 25-29: Tampa Bay Classic
Presented by Stadium Jumping, this five-day event is the second show of the Winter Equestrian Festival held at the Bob Thomas Equestrian Center. The 'AA' rated hunter competition features some of the top hunter horses and riders in the nation. The 2009 Tampa Series Hunter High Score Circuit Awards will be presented in 34 individual hunter divisions including the professional, junior, amateur-owner, adult amateur, children, pony, and breeding divisions. March 27-29: Florida Independent Tow Show
Unified Trade Shows presents this three-day event for the towing and recovery business that will showcase trucks and equipment both indoors and outdoors at the Fairgrounds. Vendors will have hands-on demonstrations, an on-site ride and drive course featuring the latest model chassis from leading truck manufacturers, and much more. This family event even includes something geared for the kids offering supervised towing safety seminars, games and prizes. Event hours are Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free. Parking is $5 per car or $10 per RV or bus for each time a vehicle enters the grounds. Visitors should enter the Fairgrounds via the U.S. Hwy. 301 entrance. March 31-April 4: Winter Equestrian Festival
Presented by Stadium Jumping, this horse competition is the culmination of the Winter Equestrian Festival held at the Bob Thomas Equestrian Center. The USEF-sanctioned show features amateur-owner, adult amateur, junior, and children competing in jumper and hunter divisions. The 2009 Tampa Series Hunter High Score Circuit Awards will be presented during the Budweiser American Invitational on the evening of April 4 in Raymond James Stadium to the horses that have accumulated the most points throughout the three-week festival. April 18-19: JAMfest Nationals
Cheerleaders and dancers will take to the stage for JAMfest Nationals in a two-day competition held in the Expo Hall and the Sweetbay Entertainment Hall.
Over 70 teams with athletes representing the United States and Canada will compete for awards in their respective all-star and school divisions and for overall Grand Champion awards.
Admission is free for spectators; entry fees apply for participants. Events begin around 8 a.m. until approximately 5 p.m. on both days. Parking is $5 per car or $10 per RV or bus each day. Visitors should enter the Fairgrounds via the U.S. Hwy. 301 entrance.

April 25: Pet Adoption Expo
Hundreds of animals are looking to find their new home at this one-day Pet Adoption Expo held in the Charles M. Davis Special Events Center.
The ASPCA, the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, Hillsborough County Animal Services and NMHP-HC team up to bring more than 30 animal rescue groups to the fairgrounds.
Event hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission and parking are free for this event only. Visitors must enter the Fairgrounds via the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard entrance.

April 25: Buckler's Craft Fair
The Buckler's Craft Fair offers one-of-a-kind creations and handmade crafts from some of the finest artisans in the nation.
Held in the Sweetbay Entertainment Hall for two days, exhibitors will be selling unique items including country-primitive handmade furniture, homemade fudge, gourmet delights, home accessories, gold and silver jewelry, personalized items, pet merchandise and much more.
Show hours are Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Adult admission is $6, children ages four to 12 enter for $1, and ages three and younger are admitted free. A hand stamp re-admits visitors all weekend for the event. Parking is $5 per car or $10 per RV or bus. Visitors should enter the Fairgrounds via the U.S. Hwy. 301 entrance.

April 25: Concert - Jimmy Buffett
Jimmy Buffett & The Coral Reefer Band will perform in concert on Saturday, April 25 at the Ford Amphitheatre. The gates will open at 6:30 p.m. and show begins at 8 p.m.
Ticket prices are $136 and $96 for reserved seats and $36 for general admission lawn seats.

April 26: Concert - Nickelback
Nickelback with special guests, Seether and Saving Abel, will perform in concert on Sunday, April 26 at the Ford Amphitheatre. The gates will open at 6 p.m. and show begins at 7 p.m.
Ticket prices are $75 and $45 for reserved seats, $75 for PIT area and $29.50 for lawn area seating.
Both the PIT area and lawn area are general admission; no specific area is assigned for seating. Prices include sales tax and parking; all tickets are subject to applicable taxes, service and handling charges.
