BROOKSVILLE - Shark Theatre at Nature Coast Technical High School (NCTHS) will present the classic comedy "You Can't Take It With You" at 7 p.m. today and two performances at 2 and 7 p.m. tomorrow, March 21 at the Black Box Theatre on the NCTHS campus.

The show is of the most popular and successful American plays of the past century. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize in 1936, "You Can't Take It With You" centers around the delightfully eccentric Sycamore family and their wholehearted pursuit of happiness and their encounters with an IRS agent, a stuffy Wall Street executive with his socialite wife, and a crew of G-Men investigating a plot against the government.

Also featured are a xylophone, a printing press, a Russian ballet instructor, a Grand Duchess, a discus thrower, a young couple in love, snakes, a bunny and fireworks.

The production will feature a cast of 15 NCTHS students and three faculty members. Sophomore Colton Lawver making his Shark Theatre mainstage debut will play Grandpa, senior Angelica Bertone ("Once Upon A Mattress," "Antigone") will play Alice Sycamore, and senior Keith Meccia ("Once Upon A Mattress," "Peer Gynt" and "Schoolhouse Rock, Live!") will play Boris Kolenkhov. Others in the cast include seniors Niki Pirola, Patrick Regis, Daniel Ostolaza, Kaitlyn Van Natter, Jacob Kahn, and Joseph Altieri; juniors Jeff Clarkson and Bonnie Whealton; sophomore Kara George; and freshmen Savannah Halley, Nick Martinez, and Josh Honigman. NCTHS science teacher David Feinberg, head football coach Jamie Joyner, and automotive instructor Kevin Moglia will make cameo appearances.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for students of all ages. This production is recommended for ages 7 and older - no one under 5 years old will be admitted.
