Hope you've been catching up on your rest. Music fans won't have many nights off this month. There are concerts — sometimes several — on all but a few days in October, er, Rocktober. Not that it's just rock. There's blues, jazz, country and one of classical music's biggest names as well. No sleep 'til November! Here we go:

Jimmy Thackery brings the blues to Skipper's. But our pick is the searing soul vocals of Bettye Lavette at the Palladium in St. Petersburg.
