- Only 30 mins over (Kim Maccormack)
- Slumdog was the only Best Picture nom I have not seen yet. My fav of the 4 I did see was "The Reader" but "Frost/Nixon" and "Milk" were also excellent. "The Wrestler" should have been nominated. (Jim Johnston)
- Slugdog takes Best Picture. Well deserved. It was a good night for all. Kudos to Hugh Jackman. (Kim Maccormack)
- I was pulling for Mickey Rourke, but you can't go wrong with Sean Penn. An inspired acceptance speech as well. (Kim Maccormack)

- Danny Boyle wins Best Director for Slumdog. Over the years, 75 percent of the Best Picture Winners also won Best Director. (Jim Johnston)
